Welcome back, valued InvisaGig users! We're ecstatic to share the exciting new changes we've been making to our product over the summer of 2023. We've been listening to your feedback and have diligently worked to resolve issues and add useful features that will enhance your experience with InvisaGig. Today, we're delighted to present an overview of InvisaGig software version 1.0.8 which is currently in beta testing, and we're sure you're going to love the improvements upon its release.
Troublesome Bugs? We Swatted 'Em.
We addressed several issues that were causing annoyance for our users. For instance, we took care of that pesky blank password issue after a factory reset. We also remedied multiple data output errors that you might have encountered on the Modem Info screen. An APN settings loss problem that occurred when switching from AutoSelect to Manual profile selection was also resolved. We know that our early release customers reported some stability issues so we added more intelligence to data call handling in carrier network detach/reattach scenarios. These changes will further enhance connection reliability and limit instances requiring manual intervention.
More Than Just Fixes - We've Added Some Cool New Features Too!
But we didn't just stop at bug fixes. We've also been busy adding new features and making changes that you've requested. For starters, you no longer need to worry about running any scripts, certificate installation, or local hosts file modification during setup. Now, you can simply access the InvisaGig unit's IP address over HTTPS and proceed after accepting your browser's security warning. And for those who still prefer using the certificates and/or installation scripts, we've kept these options open for you.
To make the user interface more intuitive, we've reorganized the landing menu so that 'Login' is now the first option. We've also removed the internet connection status from the menu headers to improve navigation performance. Don't worry - you'll still be able to see it in the Modem Info screen, now color-coded for easy understanding.
Moreover, we've combined Manual APN and Carrier Profile Selection menu options into a single option called "Carrier Profile Selection & APN". We've also added profiles for Visible, Verizon, and multiple T-Mobile plans to make it easier for users of these carriers to get connected without having to worry about selecting the wrong profile or mistyping an APN.
We've made several other frequently requested improvements and additions, including preliminary SMS Read/Delete support, allowing the user to specify their own local IP for the IG unit in the Local IP & Multiple Modem Setup option, and adding color coding to Live Signal’s RSRP/RSRQ/SINR to match the User Manual legend. We've also included a preliminary dark mode for those visually sensitive to white light!
